This painting was done in the Boston School impressionism methods. After which I abandoned impressionism & now practice Academic painting. So, this painting means a lot to me. It was also the first Self portrait done over life size, and is a part of a 4-part series. This work represents my relationship with painting. The paint covering my face symbolizes the positive & the negative of my obsession - with my work.
