Christoph Schrein

Christoph Schrein’s work is about sublime space in painting. In his works on glass and aludibond, he creates a contemplative space that has a knock-on effect on the observer. From influences of Tachism, New British Sculpture and also current trends in Generative Art, Christoph Schrein developped an own imagery, which is to be positioned in contemporary abstract painting. His artwork reflects thoughts, landscapes, physical non-spaces, forming undulating colour streams and fluent movements that unite creating a complexe composition. Monochrome paintings creating an image that appears in flowing motion caused by the superposition of wave-shaped light-reflecting color streams that initiate an complex space of illusion and depth.
