Giving the observer a place where he/she can lose him/herself and where subjective experience and perception completes the painting. It is always more a question than an answer.“ C.Schrein Christoph Schrein is an Leipzig based painter that explores the sublime in painting. In his work he creates a contemplative space that develops a kind of pull effect to the observer. From influences of Tachism, New British Sculpture and also current trends in Generative Art, Christoph Schrein has developed an own imagery, which is to be positioned in contemporary abstract painting. His artwork consists in thoughts, landscapes, physical non-spaces, forming undulating colour streams and fluent movements that unite creating a complex composition.
