I love exploring light and it's effects on surface textures. This Orange Peeling drawing is all about that and was an enormously challenging piece as the surface details of the skin were particularly complicated to do. The abstract gold and red background was painted first in acrylic and the colors are a nod once again to the richness of the Baroque period.
