John Vitale is an American artist based in Brooklyn, New York. He studied painting at the School of Visual Arts.

Largely self-taught, Vitale’s work aims to deconstruct and compartmentalize the chaos that imbues society on a day-to-day basis. He views each painting as a learning experience–an exploration of the environment that encompasses him, a meditation on complex problems, and a search for answers to these conundrums. This process, as he describes it, is how he learns to make sense of the endless inventory of information that one must digest.
