Acrylic and painted paper collage on canvas. In this painting-collage hybrid, I explore the layering of human history and how it relates to nature. Scraps of salvaged, painted papers and a retrospective of black and white vintage images tell a story as they are layered and adhered onto the canvas as the abstracted landscape component. Birds forage what is left behind by mankind. Themes touched on include conceptual play with DaDa references, alongside a serious message about mortality, the cycle of life, and the fragility of nature. Framed in a high-quality, white-wash maple float frame.
