Patrick Semple

Painted at my studio in downtown Denver, Colorado in the spring of 2023. My first exploration with collaged burlap was inspired by trips to Argentina, where burlap is a constant practical fiber used for transport and storage. The title implies a feeling of newness and optimism while traveling somewhere completely foreign, and relishing in that contrast.
